We loved working on this cover for a book about the legendary Sam Phillips—who Gail actually got to meet while she was senior art director at Rolling Stone years back. But full disclosure here—the cover got thisclose to being used, and was then killed. So, we present our cover and two additional sketches for the job that never was… sigh.
